Pair of bedside cabinets or night stands, Italy 1950s. Designer unknown.

The cabinets are finished in birds eye maple, with curved fin-shaped sides and brass details on the feet and handles, glass tops and interior shelves. The cabinets are designed to be used as a pair with the doors opening to left and right as positioned either side of a bed. The glass tops are loose, and backed with felt, giving the tops a semi opaque silvery green appearance.

The pieces have undergone some light and sensitive restoration, and are presented in nice overall condition. There are signs of old wear to the veneer and glass - with one small chip to the back edge on the right hand cabinet - see images.
