Handmade mosaic table by the German artist Helmut Lander (1924-2013). Signed and dated 1953.
A rare and beautiful piece, with rectangular top decorated with irregular mosaic pieces, featuring shades of blue, off-white and earth tones, with gold leaf details. The simple frame comprises a metal surround (aluminium) to the top, with black metal sub-frame and legs. The piece is in good original condition with minor signs of wear in line with age. There is some cracking to the cement on the underside of the top, which does not appear to have affected the mosaic, and minor losses to the black paint. Overall, for us, this is a beautiful piece which presents very well.
Approximate dimensions: H 51.3cm x L 105.7cm x W 53.5cm
