Pendant light, model "Venus", by Volonterio and Benedetti for Quattrifolio. Italy, 1980s.

The fixture comprises three circular tiers of frosted glass, giving it a striking silhouette and an almost art deco appearance. The layers of glass - smooth one side, sanded the other - surround two glass tube shades, and are held by small screws onto the simple black steel frame. The tubes conceal the original ceramic lamp-holders which each take E27 bulbs (one per tube).

Good vintage condition, with minor signs of age-appropriate wear, including small chips or flakes around the central holes, minor marks and a small impression on the edge of one disc where an old flake has been polished smooth on the sanded side; due to the nature of the piece, there may be other minor imperfections in the glass. The wiring is original, and testing or replacement is advised in the country of install to ensure it meets your local requirements and regulations.

Approximate dimensions:
Diameter of glass discs: 70cm
Overall height: 100cm
Height of glass tubes: 17cm

Please be aware, the glass makes this a heavy fixture which will require suitable installation. The height can be adjusted by your electrician by cutting and re-threading the two central stems.

We have a similar light with oval shades; please contact us if you would like more details or images of either item.
