Mid-Century brass chandelier with six large shades of semi-opaque glass.

The frame is made up of six arms with brass finish leading from a black and brass finial at the centre to black cones with brass edges and flower-shaped details at the ends. The large glass shades are nicely finished with ground (polished) edges with delicate white pattern; shades are held in place by large brass screw-in shade rings on the inside. For us, this fixture has the feeling of a grand café chandelier.

The piece is in good original condition with minor nibbles to the shades where they attach to the frame (not visible when in place) and one small chip on the inside of the rim of one shade - barely noticeable in use (see images) - and some signs of wear to the frame in line with age. The fixture takes six large screw-fitting bulbs and currently has its original wiring. Brass stem and brass ceiling cone in place.

Dimensions: H: 70cm x Dia 55cm
