These chairs have pink seats and backrests with blue/grey metal frames and cream armrests. The chairs are in good vintage condition with signs of use to all parts and light surface cracking to the arms. The chairs show both the Ahrend stamp and the TU Delft badge, and are date stamped.

Friso Kramer (Netherlands 1922) is a highly influential designer. He produced numerous pieces for De Cirkel in the period 1948-63; he then founded the Total Design bureau with Wim Crouwel, Benno Wissing, Paul and Dick Schwartz. His designs are now highly sought after and a plastic version of the Revolt Chair was reissued by Ahrend in 2004. The "Revolt" chair was recently celebrated in a unique exhibition at Galerie Catherine Houard in Paris. As with many Kramer designs, the Revolt chairs are increasingly hard to find.
