Set of two square bronze door handles of square form with raised lunar landscape design. Push or pull fittings. European, 1970s.
These are heavy pieces made of cast bronze, which could suit both interior and exterior doors. The two pieces have been exposed to different conditions so have aged differently; otherwise they are the same design so they can work on a pair of doors, or opposite sides of the same door, by turning one piece to suit. The pieces are offered unpolished and as found; there are signs of age and use throughout, including some verdigris and signs of old paint. The mounting bracket can be fixed to set the handle close to the door jamb, or rotated to set it slightly further away; in these images you can see one in each position.

Handle including bracket in wide position: H 14.5cm x W 17cm x D 6.5cm (this is the approximate projection from the face of the door to the moon crater on the face of the handle)

Each handle is fixed in place through holes in the bracket, using bolts which suit the thickness and style of your door (bolts not supplied).
