Studio ceramic sculpture by Clive Brooker, England.

Handmade pottery, with strong silhouette and brutalist feel. The lower surface is charcol in colour - very deep brown - and the upper is brown; both have a matte finish and the texture of sand, with sgraffito lines. The bowl is finished with a deep green glaze.

This is a striking work: for us it stands well as sculpture, but could work as a candleholder or vase/vessel with shallow bowl; there are two further holes, one on each shoulder. If used as a vessel we would suggest using a suitable liner to protect the finish.

Good vintage condition with surface wear in line with age and use including minor anomalies to the glaze. Stamped by the artist.

Approximate dimensions: H 37cm x W 14cm x D11cm
