A spectacular mobile or balance light in brass with enamelled shade. Designer unknown, probably French or Italian.
This architectural fixture evokes the designs of Guariche, Stilnovo and G.C.M.E. with a 2m central stem and large double-ended pierced conical shade, counterbalanced by a heavy brass ball. The shade has been professionally refinished, with black exterior and off-white interior, however elsewhere the piece is in original condition with interesting patina and the brass is unpolished.
