Sofa in black leather and tubular chrome, designed by Rodney Kinsman in 1969 for his company OMK, and sold by Terence Conran's then embryonic Habitat stores in London.
Three-seater sofa with loose seat and back cushions in black hide (seat cushions backed in black cotton) on a tubular chrome frame. The design has a low profile, typical of the era; this now works well in domestic or work spaces wherever the layout requires the piece should not obscure other details in the room.
The sofa is in good overall condition, with minor signs of wear to the chrome and the leather, which has a good patina. There is a small repair to the underside of one back cushion which is not structural and is not visible when in use (see image). The sofa has new black Pirelli straps, matching the originals; new zips to the cushions and new foam, giving a firm seat (and, in our view, great for lying on).
