Large 1960s gothic style chandelier attributed to Gaetano Sciolari. The design comprises a chrome frame with twelve arms hung with lots of unusual tear-shaped droplets in high quality hand-cut and hand-polished crystal glass.

The frame is in very good original condition - with original wiring - and there are a few droplets missing on the inner ring, but this isn't really noticeable in use (see images). Due to the age and nature of the piece there may be minor flaws in the glass.

The piece has no maker's mark, but the use of the droplets suggests one of the Austrian manufacturers Bakalowits or Palwa.

Dimensions: H including chain 110cm excluding chain 46cm x Dia: 56cm The chain can be adjusted by your electrician to suit your ceiling height.

As the wiring of this piece is original, new wiring is recommended; UK clients please contact us for a quote. The fixture takes 12 small screw-fitting bulbs.
