White glass Mid-Century Modern table or floor lamp with brass base and three-way switch, European.

The lamp base is made of white satin glass with a raised geometric pattern, and is fitted with a three-way switch allowing light to come through the glass, through the shade above, or both, creating an attractive glow.

The lamp has been re-wired with gold-colored silk twisted flex and has the original switch, each lamp-holder takes a large screw-fitting bulb (E27) and we always recommend using low-heat bulbs in lamps of this age to protect them for the future. The satin glass base is in good vintage condition with some minor signs of wear, typically around the top where they are not visible in use, there are some signs of age-related wear to the brass finish of the base.

We are showing the lamp with a very simple natural hessian shade, recently handmade, using appropriate midcentury proportions, which can be included free of charge if required, and more images are available. Please note the shade may incur additional shipping charges.

Approximate dimensions:
Base only: diameter 18 cm x height 44 cm
Shade only: diameter at base 30cm x height 55cm

The base will be dismantled for shipping, it is re-assembled by removing the shade rings from the upper lamp-holder, sliding the glass shade over the inner frame and resting it on the brass foot. The glass is loosely held by replacing the first ring, and the second ring holds the shade.
