A nice example of the first annual bird by Oiva Toikka for Iittala. The piece is signed to the base O Toikka Nuutajarvi 1996 and has the original Iittala label.

Birds by Toikka are individually mouth-blown creations.

Oiva Toikka (b.1931) is one of the most well-known Finnish glass designers and his 1969 glass sculpture "Lollipop Isle" is held in the permanent collection of the V&A.
