Italian floor-standing oval mirror with blue border and decorative metal stand, attributed to Pier Luigi Colli.

The clear central mirror is surrounded by a border in eight sections of delicate mirror glass tinted a beautiful shade of light blue with a very faint hint of green. The edges of the back and the stand are finished in gold. The frame sections are held in place by small flower and leaf motifs, and the metal stand is covered in hammered detail.

Overall the mirror is in good original condition and presents nicely. The glass has light age-appropriate wear, including small spots of damage at the point where the blue border meets the stand, and occasional faint losses to the mirror backing. The gold finish to the border has faded over time, particularly in spots where it is most handled, as one might expect. The metal leaves/flowers are all in place; in the upper section there are two fixing plates attached to the back.

The first and last images have been kindly created by the team at 1stdibs to show an impression of the mirror outline without reflections - for more accurate details, including color, see further images which are taken in natural light.

As with all tall furniture this piece should be installed and used with care to ensure stability.

Dimensions: H: 213/190cm (with/without stand) x 99cm
