A large ceramic dish or charger, with fish motif. Signed FAUFRA R 61 and attributed to the Belgian artist Roger Faufra (1926-2005), typically known for his landscape painting.
This is a nice heavy piece, with abstract form and bubble-textured glaze in neutral brown tones.
Good original condition with minor signs of wear in line with age. There are some tears to the outer edge of the clay, and small areas where the glaze is missing on the underside; both appear to have arisen in the making.
Approximate dimensions: diameter 40cm x height 7cm and around 2cm thick at the rim.
