Midcentury circular mirror with large scalloped black glass edge detail, by Metalvetro Galvorame of Siena, 1960s Italy.

A very high-quality piece of good size with a double layer of mirror glass. The central glass is clear, with a bevelled edge and mounted with four fixings. The outer is smooth to the front, but scalloped to the underside, to give a black and mirror glass border. The combination lends the piece an art deco style.

Good vintage condition with age appropriate wear, including minor losses to the mirror backing of the outer glass here and there, creating a nice aged patina. See images (and zoom in) for examples of detail and overview. The reverse of the mirror has a heavy metal bracket for installation, and sections of the original label which is dated 1967.

Approximate dimensions:
Complete piece: Diameter 71.5cm x depth 3cm (excluding fixing)
Central clear mirror: Diameter 60cm (including bevel)

Please be aware this is a heavy piece, which will require suitable installation. In these images it is hanging on a chain which pulls the mirror forward of the wall slightly. Just let us know here if you would like more details or images.
