Small mid-century table lamp with tripod base by Louis Kalff for the Dutch manufacturer Philips.

A very nice design which channels light above and below the shade; often shown with a chrome or gold crown bulb to shield the light from above, the lamp also works well with a smaller plain bulb to light a nearby wall. This example has been refinished in stone grey (low-sheen satin, best colour shown in last image), with original gold-coloured lacquer to the tripod base and central "waist". The underside of the shade has been left in vintage condition and carries the original Philips label, showing made in Belgium. The body and shade are in good shape with minor signs of wear in line with age and use. New wiring in black twisted flex, and new bulb-holder taking a single large screw fitting bulb.

Dimensions: H 33cm x Dia 27cm
