Square Mid-Century Modern wall sconce with a smokey bubble shade by Kaiser Leuchten of Germany. Five units available (price per piece).

Each light is made up of a hand blown curved shade over a metal backplate. The glass is clear with lots of bubbles, contours, folds and organic wisps and swirls of smokey brown-grey. The nature of the glass means no two are identical. Zoom into the images for details. The metal backplate is satin-lacquered in light gold and the glass is held in place by four brass pins. The effect of the glass over the gold color below changes as viewed from different angles, these images are mostly taken with natural light coming from the left.

Approximate dimensions: H 20.5cm x W 20.5cm x D 9cm.

Overall the pieces are in very good original condition, with minor signs of wear as one might expect from age, use and the making process. Wiring is original, with one bulb-holder, taking a small screw-fitting bulb (E14). We advise this is tested and/or replaced in the country of install to make sure it meets your local needs. The backplate fixes in place through two pre-drilled holes; there is an option to use a pull-switch (see image of the reverse) but it appears these have not been used in the past. Due to their age and nature, there may be small imperfections or nicks in the glass. Kaiser label on most pieces.
