A sculptural brass door handle with abstract relief, and matching escutcheon or keyhole plate. Germany, mid-20th century (1960s / 1970s).

A heavy piece, made of cast metal - brass or bronze - with very nice changing tones from use; we have not polished this piece and it retains a heavy patina.

The bracket is finished with a light texture, and is attached to the plate by three screws on the reverse. The handle comes with two screw-bolts for fitting, otherwise it can be fitted using two long bolts (not supplied) as suit the thickness of your door and the weight of the metal.

Dimensions: the main plate is H 15cm x W 16.5cm.

Width including bracket is approximately 17cm.

The depth from the face of the door to the front face of the handle is approximately 6.4 cm.

Keyhole plate: H 6.7cm x W 2.8cm x D 0.8cm Diameter of keyhole approx 1.7cm
