A long sideboard or credenza by Palutari for Dassi, finished in teak with brass details, Italy, 1950s.

Elegant and unusual piece with delicate legs and stretchers, giving the piece a lightness and a floating appearance which belies the storage capacity. Sliding door to the left, and opening doors to centre and right. The sliding door conceals a bank of five drawers with angled cut-away drawer pulls and the other cupboards are each fitted with a removable shelf.

Overall the piece is in very good original condition, and presents well. As one might expect from a piece of its age there are minor signs of wear throughout, including light scratches and small dents; an old repair just visible below the keyhole (see image 4). Original brass key in place.

Dimensions: W: 204cm x H: 85cm x D: 46cm
