Small "ice glass" chandelier or hallway lantern by Carl Fagerlund for Orrefors, Sweden, 1960s.

The light comprises six panels of textured glass - resembling ice - hanging from a nickel frame with nickel fixings and original hammered chain, with the original perforated metal diffuser in place.

Overall the piece is in very nice vintage condition: the glass is in good shape and the metal has developed an aged patina. There are signs of wear as one might expect from age and use; in the detail we have noted some wear to the finish of the metal parts and to the glass panels (typically to the back around the fixing point, so not visible in use). The light takes a single large screw-fitting E27 bulb and new wiring will be required; we advise this is carried out in the country of installation to ensure it meets your local needs and regulations (UK clients please contact us if you require assistance with this step).

Dimensions:

Diameter: 19cm x Height 50cm (including hanging chain and ceiling canopy)

Each glass panel: H 16cm x W 9cm x D 2cm

The length of the chain can be adjusted by your electrician, or you could replace the external hardware with similar components in brass if required.

The light will be dismantled for shipping.
