Bernard Rooke Ceramic Vide-Poche or Decorative Dish with Glass Base

Decorative dishes or vide-poches by ceramicist Bernard Rooke. England, mid-twentieth century. Two pieces available separately: handmade ceramic, in natural tones; the blue/green glass base with crackled finish. Rooke's own rune-like decorations run around the top. The circular dish is stamped.

The pieces are in good vintage condition with minor flaws from the making and firing processes, including small firing cracks and some asymmetry. Old felt has been removed in the past from the square base; we suggest small felts to protect your table.
