Brass and Glass Table Lamp, Denmark II

Brass and glass table lamp with pretty pierced details. Attributed to Bent Karlby for Lyfa of Denmark, 1940s or 1950s.

A simple design with a wide brass shade and simple brass stem and base; the pierced shade fits over a diffuser of white cased glass and the patterns show nicely when lit. Fair vintage condition: lots of patina and character with age-related wear, marks and some distortion to the shape. The overall tone of this piece is bronze/brown. New wiring with dark gold twisted cable; takes a single E27 screw-fitting bulb.
