Bronze Push-Pull Door Handle with Raised Block Pattern

A square bronze push-pull door handle with a dark brown patina and simple raised block pattern (minor flaws). Mid-to-late 20th century, European.

This is a heavy piece, made of cast and patinated bronze, offered as found. There are interesting changing tones from use, from dark brown - brighter in direct light - to warmer highlights from years of handling. There are age-appropriate signs of wear, including a couple of small dings, losses to the patina and green oxidation. The design is symmetrical and has no defined orientation; in the main image the bracket is below the main plate on the left hand side.

The handle is fixed to the door using two bolts which screw through the base of the bracket; fixing bolts are not included.
