A mid-20th century ceramic totem lamp by Bernard Rooke, England.

An early piece, and unusual to see this example of Rooke's work; hand-built, with great character. A tall piece for floor or low table. In this model, the smaller upper components are fused. Lots of signs of weathering in line with age, and flaws arising from the crafting and firing process. Felt pads level the base and provide protection. As with other early Rooke pieces this is not signed or stamped.

Wiring:
A new lamp-holder, taking a single E27 (screw-fitting) bulb, is in place; original wiring has been removed and we advise this is replaced in the country of install to ensure it meets your local needs and regulations. The hole for the wire leaves the base on the right in the main image.

Shade:
We have shown the lamp with simple hessian shade, newly made. The lamp can be shipped with or without shade.

Approximate dimensions:

Ceramic only:
H: 96cm
W: 20cm at the base
D: 18.5cm

The total height including the shade shown in the main image is approximately 129cm.
