A large and very unusual lamp by British potter, Bernard Rooke. Probably dates from the 1960s, and initialled BR on the side.
Large scale pieces are rare to see - kiln size often a limiting-factor - and the tall shade is a rare addition.
Both the base and shade are in good original condition, with wear from age and use and occasional firing cracks and asymmetry in line with the hand-making and firing processes. A firing crack to the interior flat section of the base appears stable, and is not visible in use. The wiring is original and will need to be replaced prior to use. We recommend this is done in the country of install to meet your local needs.
