Mosaic Table in Pastel Tones with Brass Accents, 1950s

A mosaic coffee table with abstract pattern of pastel and grey tones. Germany, mid-20th century. No maker's mark, but very much in the style of Berthold Müller.

The table is formed of a rounded triangular top, decorated with mosaic tiles which look to be stone. The structure is of wood, surrounded by a thick brass band; the three legs, also of wood, are stained black and end in long gold-coloured sabots.

The table is in vintage condition with signs of wear throughout, including scratches and marks to the metal feet and areas of changing colour to the mosaic grout. There is an aged patina to the brass edge and to the faded black finish of the legs, which we have left as found.
