Elegant ceiling pendant light of pierced brass, with green cased glass diffuser, signed by Stilnovo of Milan, Italy. Mid-20th century.
A beautiful understated fixture, very nicely made, in good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. The deep olive green cased glass (white inside) is in good shape with light inclusions from the making process. There is very slight movement in the shaping of the brass cone-shaped top, and both the cone and the canopy have age-related wear and patina throughout. New wiring will be required.
Very unusually, the fixing bears the yellow Stilnovo label as shown. Overall, for us, this is a very nice example of Italian modern design.
