Set of Two Bronze Push and Pull Door Handles, Denmark
A pair of angular bronze door handles, each with square mounting plates. First half twentieth century, found in Denmark.
The handles are a simple design, made from bronze with a warm aged patina, which we have left as found. The handles each have their own unique weathering - indoor / outdoor perhaps - meaning one is deeper in tone. There are signs of wear, as one might expect from age and use, including scratches, dings, oxidation and changing tones from handling. See images for examples and overview; images are taken in natural light from the left.
Approximate dimensions per piece:
H: 27cm including square brackets or 22.5cm excluding brackets
W: 9.5cm including square brackets or 7cm excluding brackets
D: 7cm
Each mounting bracket: 6cm x 6cm
Weight: 2.5kg
Each handle is fixed in place through small holes in the corners of the back plate, using screws to suit the thickness and style of your door and the weight of the metal (fixings not supplied). The square brackets can be turned by loosening the nuts on the back.
