A heavy ceramic TOTEM lamp by Bernard Rooke, England. Mid-20th century.
The totem is a sculptural statement piece - floor or table size - made up of ceramic elements in natural tones of terracotta and stone. The two-disc element is decorated on each side with a small blue glass roundel, and elsewhere there are examples of Rooke's own hieroglyphics.
The piece is in good original condition, and the structure is sound. There are age-appropriate signs of wear, and occasional flaws in line with the hand-making and firing process.
Shade not included.
Wiring: new wiring will be required to suit your local needs and regulations.
Dimensions (ceramic only):
H: 68cm
