A simple elegant flush mount light with eight arms, mid-20th century Italy.
The light is nicely made with each contoured arm ending in a delicately-shaped cone. The material is brass or bronze with a lovely aged patina in mid-to-dark brown, which we have left as found. The piece is in good overall condition, with minor signs of age and use as one might expect. Maker unknown.
Wiring:
The wiring has been replaced since manufacture and small fixing screws to the canopy have also been replaced. The lamp-holders are visible inside the cones on close inspection - some have a white edge, some black - each takes a small screw-fitting bulb (E14).
